The drive from Montego Bay to Negril follows the stunning north coast on the A1 highway. From Sangster Airport, head west through Reading, along the coast through Hopewell and Lucea, then south to Negril. The road is well-maintained and mostly two lanes with beautiful ocean views.

- Seven Mile Beach — One of the world's most beautiful beaches. Crystal clear water, white sand, beach bars and restaurants.
- Rick's Cafe — Famous cliff diving spot and the best sunset in Jamaica. Arrive before 5 PM to get a good spot.

- Bring a swimsuit — you'll want to stop at the beach
- Fill up on gas in Montego Bay before leaving
- The road through Lucea can be slow due to a narrow stretch — be patient
- If returning after dark, drive carefully as some sections have no street lights
